Naval Supply Systems Command FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania
Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST of NAVAL SUPPLY SYSTEMS COMMAND. Responsibilities You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations. You will review direct cite funding documents for purpose, time, and amount (PTA), and funding appropriations. You will analyze financial data, working with data warehouses, software tools, and financial systems such as Navy Enterprise Resource Management (N-ERP), Funding Document Management Portal, and Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment. You will research and advise on the Enterprise Contract Vendor Pay (CVP) program to ensure vendor payments are processed timely. You will assist with monthly and quarterly metrics reported to Senior Leadership. You will perform problem definition, analysis, and recommendations through root cause analysis. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-09 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating knowledge and skill applying principles, concepts and practices to perform assignments concerning financial management, accounting and budget. Identify current and prior year reimbursable customer account discrepancies that require research and validation to resolve via appropriate methods. Specialized experience includes the following: 1) Monitor Budget Execution in support of plans, programs and activities; and 2) Analyze data from accounting systems to anticipate and forecast actual dollar figures associated with management and control of resources or funds. 3) Identify and research accounts receivable discrepancies in order to validate and resolve accounting issues. 4) Understand DoD Programs and Appropriation Law as it pertains to funds approval.
