Description
Qualifications:• High School Diploma• Eligible for NYSED provisional certification as a Teacher Assistant• Experience working with young children, preferredResponsibilities:• Set up and maintain classroom materials and supplies• Assist with bussing at arrival and dismissal• Responsible for the implementation of a child’s IEP/IFSP and progress towardsgoals• Provide required documentation for services that your program and/or supervisorhave outlined for you• Follow lead of classroom teacher• Implement outlined behavior treatment plans• Supervise children during classroom activities• Demonstrate knowledge of outlined curriculum and IFSP/IEP goals• Assist children in all daily living activities• Work collaboratively with classroom staff and team members• Other duties as assignedEssential Functions:• Ability to follow oral and written directions• Ability to bend, lift 20 pounds and carry 10 feet, twist, kneel, sit on low chairs andthe floor• Ability to implement written programmatic directions
