We are seeking a Senior Manager, Contracts to lead a team and spearhead our contractual strategies with precision and expertise. As an experienced leader, you’ll lead a dedicated group of professionals in managing all aspects of contract negotiations, execution, and ensuring the seamless flow of agreements critical to our organization’s success. What the role will involve:

  • Senior Manager, Contracts leading a diverse team of skilled contract professionals.

  • Provide expert contractual direction and guidance for in all phases of the business cycle (pre-proposal, proposal, negotiation, and post-award).

  • Provide evaluation, solution based business and contractual guidance, and risk mitigation strategies for contractual and business obligations, opportunities, rights, and remedies.

  • Establish and drive implementation of contract policies, processes, and procedures to ensure achievement of segment and corporate goals.

  • Provide leadership, oversight, direction, and guidance of compliance awareness with contract and regulatory requirements as well as L3Harris policies and procedures.

  • Review proposals to ensure they meet company policy and customer solicitation requirements; determine the applicability of government/international laws and regulations.

  • Utilize risk management methodologies to assess and minimize risk to the company.

  • Lead team in negotiation preparation and negotiation execution to ensure L3Harris enters strong deals.

  • Work closely with government contacts and multi-function corporate representatives i.e., program management, engineering, finance, legal, trade compliance, etc.

  • Participate in initiatives; promote continuous improvement and best in class contracting.

    Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations, licensing, ITAR/EAR, and CAS. Experience in AMS is a strong plus.

  • Requires broad management and leadership skills with experience in leading and mentoring a team of contract professionals to achieve departmental and business goals and objectives.

  • Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize contract processes, improve efficient, and drive business outcomes.

  • Strong communication with parties within and outside of the organization. Works to influence others to accept team's views or practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices, and approaches. Requires ability to communicate and influence leadership regarding matters of substantial importance.

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and finalize complex contracts, including pricing, terms, and conditions to maximize value and mitigate risks.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills necessary for working in a collaborative and positive team environment.

  • Ability to obtain an FAA Public Trust Suitability determination.

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of prior related experience, or Graduate Degree with 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Advanced education within the discipline or an MBA.

  • NCMA professional certifications (CPCM, CFCM, etc.).

  • Experience in AMS Regulations is a strong plus.
