H2M architects + engineers Innovation Manager in Melville, New York

Job Summary:

H2M architects engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm, seeks a dynamic Innovation Manager who will enthusiastically create momentum and alignment with key stakeholders and leadership team to take innovations projects from concept to completion. This position will be an integral member of the Learning and Development team and will report directly to the Director of L& D.

Job Responsibilities:

Innovation projects at H2M range in size, scope and complexity and are paramount to support our culture and position as a leader in the delivery of A/E services. The Innovation Manager will be responsible for oversight and coordination of the innovation activities and projects at H2M. Specifically, this role will be responsible to:

  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative strategies and initiatives that drive business growth and enhance our competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify innovation ideas, manage the innovation pipeline and prioritize projects based on strategic value and feasibility.
  • Create prioritization criteria including a framework for employee resources, budget and timeframe.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of pilot projects to test new ideas and concepts.
  • Manage innovation projects selected for execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of innovation initiatives, identifying areas for more improvement and adjusting strategies when necessary.
  • Facilitate communication among team members, stakeholders, and others to ensure everyone is informed about project progress, changes, and challenges.
  • Serve as a thought leader and advocate for innovation both internally and externally, fostering a culture of innovation, encouraging all employees to think creatively and take risks.
  • Become a champion of innovation across the organization,
  • Develop a monthly status report to be shared with CEO and other members of the executive team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.
  • 5 years of experience with project management initiatives.
  • Certification desired, PMP, CIP or related
  • Business Acumen and Entrepreneurial Mindset: point person for data analysis used to inform business recommendations and decisions.
  • Strong ability to structure projects with timelines, costs, tasks and driving clarity around ownership for the work
  • Ability to motivate and influence people without direct authority across departments and at all organizational levels
  • Outstanding interpersonal, relationship building and employee coaching skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the management team that provides overall company leadership and direction.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and shift priorities based on business needs.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.

The salary range for this role is $95, 000 - $125, 000 annually.
