Robert Half Accountant - NonProfit Industry in Memphis, Tennessee

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accountant in the non-profit industry to serve in the Memphis area - hybrid schedule. The role involves assisting with month-end close deliverables, grant compliance, purchasing processes, and treasury functions. You will also be expected to maintain balance sheet reconciliations and work independently in a multi-company environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with month-end close deliverables including preparing journal entries, maintaining supporting documentation, preparing reconciliations, and completing variance analyses

• Adhering to all deadlines and responding to communications in a professional and timely manner

• Supporting various grant compliance, recognition, and reporting

• Overseeing the purchasing process for purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and coordinating necessary approvals

• Supporting the Accounts Receivable process on an as-needed basis, this includes billing, cash application, and collections

• Assisting with treasury functions such as lockbox management, creation of journal entries, and reconciliations

• Executing daily Accounts Payable operations and processes timely and accurately

• Building solid relationships across all affiliates and vendors at various accounting levels

• Maintaining Balance Sheet reconciliations with the ability to identify and correct variances across all affiliates

• Providing documentation for audits and maintaining historical data/records

• Maintaining confidentiality of the organization's information

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Check Processing and Month End Close

• Ability to make Journal Entries and Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Knowledge of Purchasing Policies and Treasury

• Ability to conduct Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Acomba

• Familiarity with Cl Programming

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Experience with IBM AS/400 and About Time

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Ability to handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Check Processing

• Ability to perform Month End Close

• Proficiency in creating Journal Entries

• Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Familiarity with Purchasing Policies

• Knowledge of Treasury operations

• Experience in Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation
