Director Global Accounts Payable

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The Global Director of Accounts Payable is responsible for leading the accounts payable function for the organization on a global scale. This includes managing the processing of invoices and payments, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations, and providing leadership and driving strategic direction for the accounts payable team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES MAY INCLUDE

  • Directs the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable (AP) function, including the processing of invoices and payments.

  • Identifies process improvements and drives implementation of automating processes in Coupa and SAP.

  • Analyzes accounts payable data and metrics to provide insights into the financial performance of the organization.

  • Collaborates across Finance and other departments to address issues and improve service.

  • Provides leadership across the AP team through training, coaching and performance management.

  • Continually evaluates processes, systems for improvement.

  • Establishes and enforces policies and practices to ensure timely invoice and payment processing.

  • Ensures compliance with internal controls, external regulations, and company policies and procedures; ensures correct controls are documented and enforced for all AP activity.

  • Develops and implements strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable function.

  • Manages vendor relationships and resolves any issues or discrepancies.

  • Stays up to date with industry trends and best practices.

  • Enforces adherence to strong internal controls.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ten (10) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience managing a team and leading cross-functional projects required. Coupa certification required.
