Robert Half In-House Counsel in Memphis, Tennessee

Description Position: In-house counsel

Job Role:

  1. Drafting and peer reviewing contracts, such as commercial real estate leases, partner contracts, sales contracts, and loan agreements with banks,

  2. Handling complex legal issues related to the company's operations,

  3. Assisting the company and outside counsel in litigation if needed,

  4. Preparing thorough legal documentation,

  5. Leading negotiations from a legal perspective to protect the company's interest,

  6. Drafting and filing pleadings for any ongoing legal disputes,

  7. Participating in legal matters related to property and real estate,

  8. Proficiently using Microsoft Office Suite for daily operations.

Qualifications:

  1. J.D. from an accredited law school,

  2. 4-10 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on contract law, real estate, litigation,

  3. A current, active license to practice law in Tennessee,

  4. Preferred licenses in Missouri and Arkansas as well,

  5. Strong negotiation, research, analytical, and communication skills,

  6. Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
