Insight Global Lead React Engineer - INTL LATAM in Memphis, Tennessee

Job Description

A Client/Employer in Memphis, TN is looking for a React Developer to join the B2C Ecommerce Team. This developer will be helping in this company's ecommerce space for their

Brazil and Mexico websites. The candidate will be responsible for building UI components, as well as, existing components. There will be major changes to the ecommerce platform and help combine shared code base with other websites. Daily functions will include implementing features while maintaining a healthy, sustainable, and reliable codebase, produce clean, readable, maintainable code in TypeScript & JavaScript, and converting business needs into technical requirements. This developer will work with their team of developers and leads to gather requirements/refinement requirements, pair programming, code reviews, and design reviews. There will be regular code reviews and merges. Other duties include: creating reusable components, developing modular code, writing unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality.

Duties:

Develop code that is optimized for e-commerce applications

Use node.js to optimize communication between backend and front end

Algorithms must be optimized for quick execution

Analyze analytics data to help business partners optimize flows and increase conversion rates

Migrate, where necessary, code execution from client side to server side using tools like next.js

Optimize and resolve bottlenecks affecting the page speed by analyzing network traffic

Skills and Requirements

7 years of experience as a full-time React developer

1+ year of leading a team OR experience as an architect (designing, leading implementing)

Experience developing web applications in React, Redux, Next.js, Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript

Proficient with modern React using hooks, context and state management

Familiarity developing software using Agile processes and the Scrum framework

Experience using SCM tools like Git, GitLab, and GitHub

Ability to perform tasks with some technical supervision

Ability to work on a distributed team using chat and collaboration software for primary communications

A strong advocate of clean code Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology or related field
