Position Summary
As the Manager, Operations, you will lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives focused on continuous improvement using lean methodologies. Your role will be to drive performance, schedule, quality, cost, and budget objectives through effective process improvements. Collaborating closely with Value Stream Managers and Site Directors, you will implement impactful, cross-functional changes across the organization. You will act as a key driver of transformation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement by influencing others to embrace and adopt Lean Methodology for sustainable, long-term success.
Primary Responsibilities
Plans, leads, and supports operational objectives, productivity, and continuous improvement plans, including implementation, maintaining, and analyzing various production performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Leads engagement and collaboration efforts across cross-functional teams, including engineering, group managers, customers, and other departments as needed
Maintains and ensures compliance with all company and regulatory policies and procedures
Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for solving problems
Performs technical analysis of new and established processes and recommends improvements, including cycle time reduction, tooling improvements, time studies, process observation, waste reduction, line balancing, cost justification, etc.
Plans and supports data analytics and strategies to define effective methods and processes to utilize available capacity on the site and aligns with established strategic direction in support of business needs
Maintains stable workflow processes, oversees production performance metrics and implements changes to receive optimal results
Engages with Manufacturing Resource Planning teams and establishes consumption-based replenishment systems to ensure efficient material flow and inventory reduction
Owns a lean awareness training program across the site, establishing minimum 80% training requirement and providing hands-on leadership to the site
Excels in RCA, A3 and lean methodology tools to solve complex problems across the organization
Prioritizes strategic initiatives with ROI and business impact, maintaining ownership from start to completion
Performs other duties as assigned
Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
Represents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:
Must have Six Sigma Black Belt certification
Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a Master’s degree, or 3 years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
Strong commitment to safety, adhering to and enforcing all safety policies and procedures as a core organizational value
Experience leading negotiations regarding freight contracts
Skilled in investigating causes of misdirected shipments, damages, shortages, or overcharges in freight costs
Proficient in monitoring transaction activity and reports (contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, accounting reports) to maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, and shipping records
Preferred experience with SAP and Cognos
Preferred experience using and implementing Hoshin Kanri methodology
