Position Summary:

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the daily activities and supervision of Shipping Operations, including assembly functions, re-processing activities, production planning, and inventory control. Provides leadership and direction of operations and other activities daily. Fosters a culture of teamwork and drives processes that sustain continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost measures.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages all operational aspects of the business including supply chain, customer service, billing, and distribution

  • Ensures a focus on internal purchasing, inventory management, financial performance, and process improvement

  • Maintains proper levels of inventory to support the rapid growth of sales and the aggressive product launch strategy, while achieving financial goals

  • Uses sales trends and other information gathered from Marketing and Sales teams, forecast likely sales to develop order points and set inventory level

  • Monitors and reviews regularly inventory levels and sales against forecast to determine future order patterns

  • Prepares a monthly inventory report, identifying inventory levels by location, sales trends, ROI, Sales by State, inventory turns etc as required

  • Develop an obsolescence schedule and liaise with the Marketing Manager on strategies to liquidate this inventory

  • Manages operational area and/or shift in meeting key business metrics: cost, quality, safety, service, and throughput

  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies

  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a Ph.D. with 3 years of experience;

  • Experience in Medical Device manufacturing/warehouse

  • Preferred experience in SAP or Cognos

  • Strong Data Analysis skill-set

  • Proficient to advanced skill-set in MS Office

  • Promote safety as the most important value in the organization by adhering to and enforcing all safety policies and procedures

  • Lead negotiations regarding freight contracts

  • Investigate causes of misdirected shipments, damages, shortages or overcharges in freight cost

  • Monitor transaction activity and reports from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions and accounting reports ensuring all data is entered to maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, and shipping records

  • Required to possess specific visons abilities, including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus
