    Position Overview

    A Millwright will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and/or replacing the physical equipment in the plant safely, correctly and efficiently by understanding and adhering to standard maintenance procedures and techniques. Our current need is for an experienced Millwright whose expertise includes troubleshooting and repair of pumps, compressors, motors, and piping.

    Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct work activities in a manner that protects the safety and health of employees, visitors and the environment as established by company policies and procedures.

  • Safely respond and react to production problems in a timely and efficient manner while performing maintenance projects and PM tasks.

  • Coordinate activities with other departments and team members to maintain equipment availability, maximize productivity and efficiency, and ensure high quality standards.

  • Work in proximity of steam boilers, chemical processing equipment, electrical equipment and operating machinery.

  • Work inside and outside under varying conditions.

  • The job occasionally requires overtime and calls-ins on weekends, nights and holidays.

  • Other duties as assigned or required.

    Job Requirements

  • Proficient in math.

  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language.

  • Must have your own tools.

  • Working knowledge of installing and maintaining machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.

  • Maintain plant equipment (pumps, motors, compressors, piping) to precisely stated specifications. This includes installation and disassembly of new or replacement equipment and the ability to diagnose or troubleshoot problems.

  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair and rebuild all plant equipment with little or no supervision.

  • Must be familiar with all precision measuring devices.

  • Perform diagnostic and preventive maintenance tasks on bearings, industrial size pumps, gearboxes, compressors and motors.

  • Must be able to use all shop tools such as lathes and milling machines.

  • Experienced in fabricating necessary structures and equipment by burning and welding.

  • Proficient in Welding and Fitting of Pipe and Plate of both Carbon and Stainless Steel

  • Should be able to perform basic carpentry and plumbing skills

  • Must be able to perform safe rigging and lifting tasks/operations.

  • Knowledge of installing or repairing plant piping systems.

  • Demonstrate competency in diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to perform shaft alignment using dial indicators, or electronic alignment equipment.

  • Read and understand repair manuals, order replacement parts, and apply manufacturer’s equipment specifications.

  • Meets the physical requirements for the position, including but not limited to bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs, balancing, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/walking for long periods of time, pushing, pulling, grasping, working at elevated heights, and heavy lifting.

  • Ability to work out of man lifts or man baskets and use safety harnesses.

  • Ensure safety by maintaining high standards of housekeeping in work area and shop and also clean and maintain tools and equipment.

  • Able to utilize computer-based systems to perform administrative and maintenance-related tasks.

  • Follow guidelines concerning safe work and good engineering practices as it relates to maintenance activities. Ability to comply with all employee, safety and environmental policies and regulations.

  • Have a full working knowledge of basic mechanical equipment associated with chemical processes.

  • Ability to pass background check, drug screen, maintenance test and welding test.

  • Job requires the ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.

  • Will be physically able to make occasional confined space entries in tanks and vessels
