Description We are in the process of adding a Senior Accountant to our team, based in Memphis, Tennessee. The individual in this role will be primarily engaged in the accounting process, with a focus on general ledger accounting, tax preparation, and revenue recognition. This position is within the accounting department and entails adherence to GASB & FASB Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently process and prepare all financial information and operating reports.

• Take responsibility for the maintenance and preparation of general ledger accounts assigned.

• Involvement in the grant accounting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Handle the task of revenue accounting, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards.

• Prepare tax returns and manage other tax-related activities.

• Carry out account and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in the records.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks.

• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements.

• Ensure confidentiality is maintained regarding sensitive information encountered in the role.

• Carry out month-end close procedures and journal entries. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is necessary

• Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations is mandatory

• Familiarity with the General Ledger is essential

• Expertise in creating Journal Entries is a must

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary

• Experience with Month End Close is required

• Knowledge of NetSuite is a significant advantage

• Familiarity with Oracle is highly desirable

• Experience with SAP is a major plus
