Responsibilities
Strategic Market Expansion
: Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies to establish presence in new,high-potential markets. Identify emerging market opportunities and lead efforts to expand Nexeo s reach across key regions and sectors.
Build Strategic Partnerships
: Proactively identify,negotiate,and secure partnerships with developers,general contractors,dealers,and leasing companies. Drive the adoption of Nexeo s innovative technology by establishing mutually beneficial partnerships that foster growth and market penetration.
Leadership and Team Development
: Lead,mentor,and support a high-performing team of Business Development Managers. Help team members achieve sales targets,enhance their skills,and build lasting client relationships. Create a motivating and results-driven environment that encourages professional growth and teamwork.
Joint Ventures and Acquisitions
: Collaborate with internal teams to identify and negotiate joint ventures,acquisitions,and vertical integrations that accelerate market growth. Lead due diligence processes and ensure seamless execution of strategic partnerships.
Client Relations
: Oversee and strengthen client relationships,ensuring alignment with customer needs and expectations. Actively collect feedback from clients to improve offerings and ensure long-term customer satisfaction. Serve as the key point of contact for high-profile clients,ensuring exceptional service and results.
Market Analysis and Positioning
: Continuously monitor market trends,analyze competitive landscape,and identify growth opportunities. Guide internal teams in engaging with key stakeholders and positioning Nexeo as an industry leader in its sector.
Cross-Team Collaboration
: Work closely with product,engineering,and marketing teams to ensure that business development strategies align with company objectives. Foster collaboration and communication across departments to drive innovation and ensure business development goals are met.
Qualifications
Extensive Business Development Experience:
10-15 years of experience in business development,corporate partnerships,or strategic growth roles,demonstrating a strong track record of driving business success and market expansion.
Contract Negotiation Expertise:
5+ years of experience negotiating complex contracts and agreements with high-profile clients,partners,and stakeholders.
Proven ability to navigate complex deal structures and secure favorable terms that align with business objectives.
Leadership and Team Management:
2-4 years of experience managing and mentoring high-performing business development teams.
Strong leadership skills,with the ability to motivate,guide,and develop team members to achieve business goals and foster lasting client relationships.
*Educational Background *
Bachelor s degree in Business,Engineering,or a related field.
A Master s degree or MBA is preferred and would be an asset in shaping strategic growth initiatives.
Corporate Development Expertise:
Proven expertise in acquisitions,joint ventures,or corporate development,with a history of successfully driving strategic partnerships and organizational growth.
Industry Knowledge (Preferred):
Experience in the construction,robotics,or software development industries is a plus,providing a deeper understanding of market needs and trends in these sectors.
Travel Flexibility:
Ability to travel 25-50% of the time to support partnerships,market expansion efforts,and team development activities.
Willingness to engage with clients and stakeholders globally to drive business success.
Location Requirement:
Must be within driving distance of the office,or open to relocation to ensure close collaboration with the team and alignment with business objectives.
Pay
Salary | $170k -$220k
Schedule
