Robert Half Payroll Manager in Mendota Heights, Minnesota

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Manager in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry. The role is based in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and orchestrating payroll procedures, leading and guiding our payroll team, and maintaining meticulous financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize payroll systems, ensuring utilization of technology for effective process streamlining.

• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring all employees receive their compensation in accordance with company policies and regulations.

• Lead and support a team of payroll professionals, fostering their growth and ensuring consistent exceptional results.

• Play a pivotal role during acquisitions or mergers in integrating payroll processes and systems.

• Implement new payroll systems or software to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Conduct audits regularly to verify the accuracy of payroll data and ensure compliance with tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies.

• Manage all aspects of payroll from time tracking to tax compliance.

• Collaborate with auditors and oversee payroll tax audit processes.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status. Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in payroll management, preferably within the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry.

• Mastery in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now.

• Proficiency in ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode and Ceridian.

• Experience in using Crystal Reports.

• Knowledge and experience in 401k - RRSP Administration.

• Familiarity with About Time software.

• Strong understanding of accounting functions.

• Experience in auditing.

• Ability to manage benefit functions.

• Hands-on experience in full cycle payroll.

• Experience in managing multi-state payroll.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.

• Professional certification in payroll management is an added advantage.
