Meta Android Software Engineer, Instagram Sharing in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

Sharing is core to how Instagram works. This role is to work on new bets related to video sharing on Instagram.

Required Skills:

Android Software Engineer, Instagram Sharing Responsibilities:

  1. Break down broad challenges like developer velocity, testability and code complexity into distinct, actionable focus areas

  2. Jump into priority initiatives and help unblock new products by delivering the hardest, most critical components

  3. Go deep in the Instagram application stack and be a center of expertise and excellence for our Android product development

  4. Strengthen our engineering culture through mentorship, knowledge sharing and development of engineering expertise across the team

  5. Participate in leadership forums to connect business context and product strategy with engineering priorities, and best-position our team to drive impact

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  2. 8+ years of experience with Android development in a consumer product setting

  3. Experience leading projects with industry-wide impact

  4. Experience in mentoring/influencing senior engineers across organizations

  5. Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions

  1. Experience in testing frameworks, tools, and strategy

  2. Experience operating in a multi-disciplinary role building 0-1 products

Public Compensation:

$213,000/year to $293,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
