Day in the Life:

As an engineering technician for Milwaukee, you will be located at our testing facility in Menomonee Falls, WI. You will work in a fast-paced environment testing new products, as a member of a cross-functional team to deliver new solutions to the world. You will support the advanced test laboratory by performing vibration durability and mechanical fatigue testing to investigate, analyze and verify that Milwaukee Tool products meet the quality and regulatory requirements that make them HEAVY DUTY.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate a variety of power tools in trade-representative conditions.

  • Outdoor Power equipment, Plumbing and Electrical, Construction and Hand tools.

  • Perform test setups and execute highly detailed power tool tests.

  • Electro Dynamic Shaker, Servo Hydraulic, use data acquisition.

  • Perform product testing, while adhering to specific work instructions and test request procedures with a focus on accurate test measurements.

  • Prepare test reports, utilizing Microsoft Office software.

  • Maintain test equipment and observe equipment calibration dates.

  • Assist with simple fixture design, specifically for vibration and cyclic loading tests.

  • Work with minimal supervision to complete daily tasks, tests, and reporting of results.

  • Exercise responsibility for working through multiple assignments daily independently.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Eagerness to learn, attention to detail and willingness to be coached is a must.

  • Basic understanding of measurement sensors, Data acquisition, electronics and electric motors.

  • Experience troubleshooting test setups and data acquisition equipment for Electro dynamic shaker and servo hydraulics testing is a plus.

  • 2 year Technology based associate degree, or comparable experience in the field of product testing.

  • Ability to create simple CAD models and part drawings is beneficial but not mandatory.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for reporting, and Excel for data collection and plotting, other more advanced post processing experience is valuable.
