POSITION SUMMARY: The experienced Manual Machinist will produce a variety of high precision, high-quality components required for our machine tools and automation products. This work, conducted in a bright, temperature-controlled environment, utilizes updated equipment and the most up-to-date technology. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Plans and completes setups from detailed manufacturing drawings Sets up and operates manual lathes and mills in a short run, close tolerance environment Able to read engineering drawings (GD&T) Selects appropriate tooling based on materials and tolerances Operates machines to produce high precision, low volume parts, calculating proper SFM and feeds. Debur, drill, and tap work to the highest standards This role will consist of 50% Manual Machining, and 50% Machine shop assistant duties including but not limited to keeping the shop clean and organized.
