The University of Wisconsin-Stout Psychology Department is seeking applicants with a developmental psychology background for a tenure-track position at the level of assistant professor to join our Psychology Department in August 2024. As a teaching and application focused campus, we are seeking someone who is excited to engage in active learning experiences with our undergraduate students. The qualified candidate will teach courses such as: Child Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Research Methods, along with courses related to the qualified candidate\'s expertise areas, as needed. The qualified candidate will also be expected to engage in research, mentor and advise undergraduate students, as well as engage in service to the profession, department, and/or university. UW-Stout provides numerous opportunities for faculty to continually develop and improve on the quality of their teaching skills by offering on and off-campus professional development experiences each year. RESPONSIBILITIES As a teaching focused campus, our faculty are expected to teach a variety of courses in their discipline and to provide student academic advisement. Faculty are expected to conduct assessment of student learning, which includes contributing to academic program assessment and continuous improvement processes, in collaboration with faculty and staff. Faculty members are also expected to engage in scholarship and participate in university service to support continuous improvement and a culture of collegiality and civility.
