This individual contributor role will support remote-based leaders and associates nationwide for our Equipment Service business, as well as site-based leaders and associates at one facility. This role provides HR leadership and consultation, by helping to drive the strategic vision of the business in partnership with the business Leaders and the HR Leadership team, as it aligns with HR initiatives and programs, focusing on Employee Relations, Leadership Training, Talent Development and Succession Planning, Employee Engagement, and day-to-day HR functions. This position is a Mentor, OH based hybrid position. Working a minimum of 3 days a week at the STERIS office is expected with the ability to be in the office more as needed. Duties Responsible for supporting and leading HR solutions in alignment with the business and HR strategies of assigned business group(s) and/or location(s). Provide HR Support to the business by partnering with leaders and associates at various levels. Employee Relations/Performance Management - consult with and coach leaders as they navigate performance issues and talent development needs. Has direct involvement in employee relations issues, conducting investigations, and recommending solutions. Lead business and HR programs and projects - HR research, project management, organizational needs, workforce planning, change management, reporting/ analytics, and champion HR initiatives. May partner with central recruiting team to guide selection process with assigned areas. Training - develop training programs and facilitate HR training sessions as needed. Education Degree Bachelor's Degree Required Experience 5+ years progressive HR Generalist experience required. 3 years of experience must include employee relations, performance management, succession planning, training and development, recruiting, and compensation practices. Proficiency with HR systems (HRIS, ATS). Extensive experience with MS Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); ability to manipulate and analyze data. Extensive background in Employment Law, both State and Federal; Preventive Labor Relations; Environmental Health and Safety and Security Preferred Experience Master's Degree / MBA preferred. PHR certification preferred. Skills Works independently, partnering with assigned business / location and HR Leadership for overall business group. Serves as a HR business partner to remote-based and site-based leaders. Understands and contributes to strategic goals, while also working at a tactical level. Aligns goals, programs, initiatives with strategic business and HR goals. Performance management, talent development, recruitment, ER issues, HR metrics and data accuracy for assigned area.
