Job Summary

As the Executive Sous Chef at Compass Group USA, you will lead the culinary team, delivering excellent dining experiences in Mercersburg, PA. This role is ideal for a skilled chef seeking growth in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in handling cost controls and closely coordinating expenditures for the account

• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and develop innovative menus

• Successfully complete and implement catering events to exceed client expectations

• Lead and roll out new culinary programs alongside the Company marketing and culinary team

• Supervise hourly associates and ensure detailed preparation and garnishment of daily menu items

Preferred Qualifications:

• A.S. degree or equivalent experience

• Confirmed dynamic culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training

• Catering experience is a plus

• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable

• Institutional and batch cooking experience is helpful

• Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation

• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, E-mail, and the Internet

• Willingness to participate in client happiness programs and activities

• ServSafe certification is highly desirable
