JOB SUMMARY
Performs venipuncture and skin punctures competently and expediently. Has thorough knowledge of test requirements, assists in lab as needed. Responsibilities include bleeding time tests, blood cultures, and blood samples.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:
Education/Regulatory Requirements:
High School diploma/GED.
Eighty hours of training in the proper procedure to be employed in the performance of venipuncture and skin punctures under the supervision of the phlebotomy supervisor.
Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification preferred.
Skills:
Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.
May be required to make reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of Phlebotomy without compromising client care.
