PRIMARY FUNCTION

Yulista Aviation, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic Helper. The Aircraft Mechanic Helper is responsible for assisting the Aviation Technician in ensuring that aircraft and their equipment is functioning safely and efficiently. They assist in the service, repair and overhaul various aircraft components and systems including airframes, engines, electrical and hydraulic systems propellers, avionics equipment and aircraft instruments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assists Aircraft Mechanics in dismantling, repairing, overhauling or replacing parts and assemblies such as engines, plumbing and hydraulic systems, and aircraft structural sections

  • Perform routine duties such as furnishing materials, tools and supplies to mechanic, lifting and holding materials in place during operations, cleaning work area, machines, tools, and equipment, cleans aircraft interior and exterior parts and assemblies with solvents or other cleaning solutions

  • Inflate tires, fill gasoline tanks and oil reservoirs and grease aircraft using grease gun and may assist flight line mechanic, worker or servicer in servicing and repairing aircraft prior to flight

  • Use Aircraft logbook system and other computer based technical manuals

  • Maintain on time schedules for assigned projects

  • The Aircraft Mechanic Helper may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES NA

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

  • Beginner to intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred

  • Ability to enter data accurately into databases.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew members

  • Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.

  • Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.

  • Ability to follow a process.

  • Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.

  • Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.

  • Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations

  • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently

  • Ability to multi-task

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 0-2 years of related experience

  • High School Diploma / Equivalent

  • Must have maintenance background

  • Must be mechanically inclined
