Sargent & Lundy Field Support Specialist in Merrillville, Indiana
Description
This position is expected to be a field assignment. The location of the assignment can vary depending on the job and/or client. We do offer per diem for those that qualify.
In this position, you will provide day-to-day construction management, coordination, and monitoring of site contractor work activities.Ongoing/Special Duties:
Attend project meetings, site walkdowns, and C&C team meetings
Label new AMI assets according to C&C instructions.
Record the new base station asset ID information for future input into cascade (input into Cascade by others).
Provide technical support during construction activities.
Provide technical support during testing and commissioning activities.
Redline IFC prints to capture any changes during construction.
Configure AMI base stations according to the instructions provided by NIPSCO. 8. Support base station startup activities.
Qualifications

The following skills, experience, and qualifications are required:
Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent years of experience in industrial/power/process electrical equipment, and systems.
Seven or more years of Construction Management and/or commissioning experience in the power industry or other industrial related industries.
Willingness to work at project sites and relocate periodically; domestic and international potential.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Project planning skills.
Leadership and teamwork skills.
