This position will report directly to one of the Merrimack Facilities Plant Engineering Supervisors and will have direct responsibility to service and maintain a wide variety of electrical systems throughout multiple locations. This position will also require local coordination and oversight of electrical contractors during construction and maintenance projects. The main campus consists of five buildings sitting on 185 acres in Merrimack, NH. Three additional sites are located in Merrimack and Milford, NH. These buildings include manufacturing, engineering and support functions totaling over 600,000 square feet with 1100 employees. The selected candidate must have strong communication skills, be self-motivated and capable of working in a collaborative team environment.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site.

This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

Works from blueprints, sketches, and manufacturer's equipment schematic diagrams to carry out wiring and equipment installations and maintenance of industrial electrical equipment/building systems including but not limited to; boilers and boiler room support equipment and controls, chillers, air compressors, test chambers, HVAC controls, emergency power systems, fire alarm/suppression systems, security systems, and other related equipment/systems.

Interfaces with design engineers, internal customers, and service technicians to install, modify, and enhance operations of equipment/building systems/spaces, and complete construction projects. May be required to work with or direct contractor personnel when performing these tasks.

Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains complex electrical equipment including but not limited to: VFD s, chillers, boilers, deionized water systems, wastewater pumps, HVAC equipment and controls, site power distribution systems, 400 cycle power generators and systems, and specialty power equipment.

Determines electrical distribution system requirements, calculates circuit sizing required to support equipment, rearrangements, and provides the electrical service. Installs grounding systems as required. Installs modifications and interconnections to existing equipment controls as required.

Determines routing locations and methods for installing power panels, circuits, conduits, wires, electrical equipment, fixtures, controls, and accessories.

Selects and orders materials from suppliers in alignment with internal electrical specifications/recommends substitutes when items are not available or when economically practical.

Performs preventative maintenance, repairs and calibration of industrial/commercial equipment and building systems to minimize down time and unscheduled outages. Inspects and checks circuits for continuity and proper functioning. Recommends better utilization and maintenance of plant/building equipment/systems to avoid or minimize unscheduled outages.

Repairs and rebuilds defective, damaged, or inoperative electrical equipment and components. Isolates source of difficulty and installs temporary hook-ups as required to minimize down time.

Performs all duties in accordance with applicable State, Federal and Local codes and ordinances, and established trade practices. Complies with and is proficient in all safety codes and regulations such as: NEC, NFPA, and OSHA.

Plans and lays out new jobs and renovates/alters existing equipment to assure project installations are correct and complete for proper operation. Responsible for ensuring all work performed and completed as specified by contract, engineering drawings & specifications and applicable codes.

May be required to participate on special teams: snow removal, emergency response, carry an on-call phone etc. and respond to off hour emergency call-ins.

Coordinates and works with contractors to maintain all aspects of the facility operation as needed.

Responsible to maintain a safe and clean work environment to include tools, equipment, and facility stock areas.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Requires a High School diploma, New Hampshire Journeyman Electrician s License and at least 4 years of commercial/industrial experience in the electrical trade.

Basic computer skills to maintain site reports, spreadsheets, preventative maintenance logs, and operate within a computerized maintenance work order system.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $62810 - $100540

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
