Description

We are in search of a Senior Accountant to join our team in the service industry, based in Merritt Island, Florida, 32952, United States. The role involves handling complex accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining the general ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately manage and oversee all aspects of the general ledger.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents and procedures.

• Review and analyze balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant.

• Participate in the accurate preparation of statutory and managerial financial reports.

• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary accounting information.

• Ensure all financial procedures are in compliance with government regulations.

• Research and resolve any discrepancies in accounting records.

• Assist in implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.

• Develop and maintain financial analysis and reporting activities for the organization.

• Manage and ensure timely and accurate processing of journal entries.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant for at least three years

• Proficiency in using General Ledger

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software

• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
