The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Firefighter to join the team in Mesa, AZ .
The Boeing Fire Department is the world’s largest industrial fire department. Boeing firefighters provide a safe working environment and are ready to respond to emergencies and disasters at our Boeing sites. Boeing is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Mesa Fire team. This team member will perform multi-discipline duties while being a collaborative team player who demonstrates a sense of urgency. This position is perfect for a self-starter who takes initiative in completing actions independently.
Position Responsibilities:
Completes and provides recommendations on appropriate response to emergency calls for assistance to mitigate hazardous situations by operating specialized tools, equipment and apparatus dependent on emergency type
Performs firefighting and emergency response activities within established protocols and standard procedures
Conducts inspection of fire protection equipment or systems to ensure operational readiness and compliance with applicable standards and company procedures
Conducts training for junior Fire Protection Specialists in development of advanced skills
Audits junior Fire Protection Specialists relative to established protocols and standard procedures
Conducts and assists with development of training for external customers in emergency preparedness and safety skills to meet regulatory requirements
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options .
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
2+ years of experience as a paid full-time Firefighter or any combination of 3+ years of experience as a full-time, part time or volunteer Firefighter within the last 5 years
Current National Registry or Arizona State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
Current CPR certification
Current valid driver’s license
State, IFSAC or Proboard Firefighter 1 certification
State, IFSAC or Proboard Firefighter 2 certification
Ability to pass and maintain a Firefighter physical/stress test
Willing to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Current International Code Council (ICC), International Fire Services Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) and/or United States recognized Fire Inspector 1 certification
Experience working with hazardous materials
Experience with Airport Rescue Firefighting
Typical Education & Experience:
Typically, 1 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $46,750 – $63,250
