About the Role

As our Supply Chain Manager, you are the responsible person and head of the facility’s logistic department. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic alignment and continuous improvement of the plant’s logistics processes and technology towards competitiveness, innovation and world class manufacturing.

Your Responsibilities

  • Establishment of the plant logistics organization including planning and hiring of all key positions

  • Define Supply Chain Management KPIs and monitor ongoing progress during rollout and serial production

  • Achieve organizational and business targets (people, timing, costs, quality & safety)

  • Overall disciplinary and technical leadership responsibility for the logistics department of the plant

  • Provide leadership to maximize employee engagement, retention & development (leading by example)

  • Personnel planning and responsibility for achieving the defined logistics KPIs

  • Development and implementation of new warehouse processes

  • Creation and optimization of material flow strategies & final establishment of a verified and optimized logistics process

  • Application of efficient logistics methods to minimize total operating costs (e.g. Design for Logistics)

  • Ensuring the continuity of the supply chain and supply on the assembly line

  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements / policies

  • Overall responsibility for the budgeting process in the logistics area, ensuring budget compliance and target achievement

  • Carrying out internal monitoring & reporting, initiating countermeasures in case of target deviations

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree from a higher technical university (Master’s degree & technical university preferred)

  • Several years of experiences in logistics (in the automotive industry preferred)

  • Planning competence and knowledge of material flow optimization

  • Language skills:

  • fluent in English

  • German (desirable)

  • Spanish (desirable)

  • Experience in:

  • SAP

  • launching and running a warehouse operation

  • business and department management

  • lean management and production optimization

Your preferred qualifications

  • Process understanding in supply chains (international & national) and assembly line supply

  • Understanding of financial models and methods used in manufacturing

  • Ability to motivate and effect cultural change in large and diverse teams

  • Conflict management and intercultural understanding

  • Entrepreneurial thinking

  • Leadership experience with the ability to drive discipline and accountability

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Strong analytical competencies including rapid, fact-based decision making
