Our Banner Sign Shop is a very dynamic environment based on production needs. We work in an assembly setting using various tools and techniques to fabricate signs. This includes cutting, painting and taping acrylic. Attention to detail is paramount, field installations are required including driving company vehicles. You will work on-site at Banner Desert Medical Center Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts (start time is flexible), with a 30 minute lunch.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position, under the guidance of Facilities Operations Shared Services leadership, is responsible for the production of signage, banners and large print media. This position uses computer and design software to operate equipment used in the production of signage and print media.

CORE FUNCTIONS

1. Manufactures signage and print media based on the customer’s needs and fitting within the Banner design and branding guidelines.

2. Manufactures signs using design documents provided by third part designers.

3. Plans and schedules multiple signage projects concurrently to meet approved schedules and timelines.

4. Installs signage under the guidelines of Banner design and branding requirements, ADA, and any other applicable regulatory body.

5. Uses the Banner work order system to document all activities, associated labor hours, materials used, and applicable expenses for fair and accurate chargeback to customers.

6. This position will use their expertise in the business of signage and print media production to support all Banner customers and eliminate/reduce spend with third party signage vendors. This position uses signage production equipment including drills, saws, laser equipment, vinyl cutters, routers, hand tools, large format printers and other tools typically found in signage production.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires knowledge typically associated with 3 years or more signage and print production experience, including experience meeting scheduled deadlines for signage and print material project, and using signage design and production software, industrial signage printers, cutters, lasers, printers and other tools typically found in the production of signage and print media. Requires strong computer skills and ability to use computer-controlled signage production equipment and proficiency with spelling, punctuation and grammar. Must be able to organize, schedule, and manage multiple signage projects and requests simultaneously using the appropriate tools.
