The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Verification Engineer (Associate/Experienced) to join our team in Mesa, AZ . This position will support the Boeing Advanced Ground Architecture (AGA) organization within Boeing Defense.

We are seeking Software Verification Engineers to be innovators and leaders in the development of our nation’s next generation of satellite and space flight ground systems. We are looking for skilled Engineers who want to take their skills to the next level through hands-on development on a diverse multi-disciplined team of engineers, using the latest tools and methodologies for multiple long-term satellite ground system projects, in both commercial and government realms. Our team offers up a collaborative casual, but professional mentoring environment with long-term potential for career growth into technical and management positions.

Our teams are currently hiring for a range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Level Software Engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with software test & evaluation design, coding and, unit/integration testing of customer desired features/user stories

  • Developing, documenting and maintaining architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems

  • Performing software lifecycle management and software supplier management functions.

  • Selecting, tailoring and deploying software processes, tools and metrics

  • Developing software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, completing the test procedures and detailing test results to ensure software system requirements are met

  • Driving and detailing software research and development projects

  • Aiding with software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, as well as with the execution of test procedures and documentation of test results to ensure software system requirements are met

  • Coordinate with peers, leadership, management, and product/customer stakeholders to successfully accomplish software tasking to meet roadmap acceptance criteria

  • Growing into as an authority for one or more software domains and specialties

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed selected location options.

This position requires an Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Coding Challenge

To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 1+ years’ experience in object-oriented software development, design and software patterns, using C++ or Java

  • 1 + years’ experience working with Unix/Linux distributions

  • 1+ years' experience performing software verification to meet system or subsystem requirements

  • 1+ years’ experience in a collaborative team environment using agile principles and a structured development process including code reviews and automated DevOps processes/tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in all aspects of test management including test definition, verification traceability, unit, factory, and site customer testing.

  • Experience with Git or other DVCS

  • Solid foundation in concepts such as domain-driven-design and test-driven development (TDD)

  • 3 + years’ experience working with Unix/Linux distributions

  • 3+ years’ experience in a collaborative team environment using agile principles and a structured development process including code reviews and automated DevSecOps processes/tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab Runners)

  • Experience/proficiency with Postman and Cypress

  • Experience using dependency management (Maven, Gradle)

  • Experience using cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Experience with one or more of the following: Java 17+, JavaScript, Firebug and JavaScript frameworks (React, Redux, Angular, etc.), Spring Boot, RDBMS, MongoDB, SOAP, REST

  • Software architecture experience

  • Satellite Ground Operations experience

Associate (Level 2)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range:

Associate: $85,000 - $115,000

Experienced: $104,550 - $141,450
