Description

We are in the market for a meticulous Controller to join our team in Metairie, Louisiana. This role is deeply rooted in the Construction Controller function within the real estate/construction/hotel industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in handling all oversight of the full cycle of accounting, maintaining precise financial records, and addressing all suite suite and third party inquiries. Moreover, the role involves the monitoring of daily cash flow and all aspects of non-financial business transactions such as risk and insurance.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all supervision of full accounting team with precision and efficiency

• Keep cash flow, A/R and A/P updated and accurate

• Address and resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Job Cost

• Apply knowledge of Construction Accounting and Viewpoint Vista

• Supervise and be directly involved in all Month End Close activities

• Perform Job Costing tasks

• Hold an Accounting or Finance degree with 5+ years of supervisory accounting experience in construction industry

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a Controller role or similar capacity

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrable experience with Job Cost and Construction Accounting

• Expertise in using Viewpoint Vista software

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, Master's degree preferred

• Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding company financial regulations and operations

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
