Globus Medical, Inc. Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician in Methuen, Massachusetts

Position Summary:
Our rapidly growing INR (Imaging, Navigation, and Robotics) division is searching for an enthusiastic team member wanting to make a difference. Our team develops medical systems by working with top surgeons and cross-functional engineering teams. The Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician will be responsible for setting up, checking, and correcting operational and experimental electrical circuitry and equipment while adhering to pre-established guidelines and engineering specifications.
Essential Functions:
PCA assembly including purchasing components, soldering, repair and rework
Prototype wiring subassemblies, terminal wiring, wire crimping, cable harnessing
Electromechanical Assembly from CAD drawing using of hand tools, manual machining, and precision tools for building chassis. Includes mounting PCAs, power supplies, cabling, etc.
Manage the electrical engineering lab, maintain tools and test equipment including calibration, component stock etc.
Assist the engineering group with experiments to improve product performance and reliability.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in a discipline related to the position of electro-mechanical technician required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity with GMP environment; familiarity reading, checking, updating Bills Of Materials, schematics, machine drawings.
Capable of documenting assembly processes.
Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Familiar with IPC A 610 and similar standards.
Ability to work under minimum supervision with a high degree of organizational and technical competence.
Ability to function well under pressure and expend effort to meet schedules and deadlines.
Experience with large medical systems a plus (ex. surgical robotics, x-ray imaging, etc).
