Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accounts Receivable Analyst with expertise in collections and proficiency in Excel to join our hotel finance team. The Accounts Receivable Analyst will be responsible for managing the collection process, maintaining accurate records, and providing insights to optimize revenue collection. Great location!!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounts receivable portfolio, including timely and effective collections from customers.

  • Conduct regular follow-ups with customers to resolve outstanding balances and past-due accounts.

  • Analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and prioritize collection efforts.

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and departments to address billing discrepancies and resolve customer inquiries.

  • Prepare and send out customer invoices, statements, and reminder notices as needed.

  • Reconcile customer accounts and ensure accuracy of billing and payment transactions.

  • Utilize Excel and other tools to track collection activities, analyze payment trends, and forecast cash flow.

  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement strategies to improve collections and reduce bad debt.

  • Provide regular reports and updates on accounts receivable performance to management.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Proven experience in accounts receivable, collections, or related roles, preferably in the hotel industry.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices related to accounts receivable management.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) or hospitality software is a plus.

  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements related to accounts receivable.
