Description

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Bilingual Bank Teller. As the face of our branch, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to customers while handling a variety of banking transactions. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish and have previous experience working as a bank teller or in a related financial services role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and assist with their banking needs, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.

  • Account Maintenance: Provide information on account balances, interest rates, and account services. Assist customers with opening and closing accounts.

  • Transaction Processing: Accurately process a variety of banking transactions, including cash handling, check processing, and currency exchange.

  • Fraud Prevention: Identify and report any suspicious transactions or activities in accordance with bank policies and procedures.

  • Sales & Referrals: Promote bank products and services, referring customers to appropriate departments when necessary.

  • Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with federal and state regulations, as well as bank policies.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other branch staff to meet customer needs and branch goals.

    Requirements

Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a bank teller or in a similar role within the financial services industry.

Language Skills: Must be bilingual in English and Spanish with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with banking software and cash handling.

Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all transactions and customer interactions.

Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in banking or finance are a plus.
