Citigroup Citi Trust (CT) Wealth Planner Principal - C15 - Miami in Miami, Florida

The Citi Trust (CT) Wealth Planner partners closely with Private Bankers and other Citi Private Bank (CPB) team members globally to increase CT revenue by identifying and closing both current and future trust, estate, and insurance opportunities with existing CPB clients and prospects.

A key focus of the role is to develop, deliver and implement customized wealth plans for clients with US connections, which include proactive estate planning solutions based upon each client/prospect's individual circumstances. Additionally, the Wealth Planner acts as the sponsor of new business to CT after assessing the suitability of the business for CT and considering fiduciary, legal, and regulatory risk, expected client service levels, administration feasibility, and profitability.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Demonstrates technical expertise and ability to provide guidance on wealth planning matters for US connected clients, including:

• Estate, gift and income tax planning for non-US grantors with US beneficiaries

• Investing in US situs assets through appropriate structures

• Pre-immigration planning for clients/prospects moving to the US

• Insurance planning

Possesses a strong ability to market and close CT new business opportunities. Focuses on enhancing CT's overall Wealth Planning practice by sharing best practices and technical information; researching; aiding the development of marketing materials, and writing technical pieces for internal and external distribution. Presenting to internal colleagues and external clients/prospects on relevant planning topics. Cultivates relationships with professional contacts, such as attorneys and CPAs, resulting in additional business opportunities.

Qualifications:

Education:

J.D. degree required

Knowledge/Abilities:

A minimum of eight years of trust and estate industry experience required. Strong knowledge and proven technical proficiency in the investment, legal, and tax issues relative to trust and estate issues for US connected planning. Proven strong communication skills to interact effectively with current and potential clients and their advisors. Proven presentation skills. Self-starter with creative problem solving skills. Competence in working through complex organizations to solve problems and deliver client satisfaction.

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
