Description

The Infrastructure Engineer III will be responsible for the deployment, management, and ongoing support of our global IT infrastructure, with a focus on systems across North, Central, and South America. The successful candidate will work with technologies such as Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, VMware, Hyper-V, and Citrix, while ensuring smooth operation and support of network technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and VPNs. The role also includes managing virtual server environments, maintaining Active Directory, and implementing SCCM and Intune environments for software and OS deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, manage, and support infrastructure systems across the Americas, including virtual server estates worldwide.

• Maintain and manage Active Directory and Entra environments, including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and more.

• Conduct ad-hoc and project-based implementations as required.

• Ensure the deployment of desktop operating systems, patches, and software using SCCM and Intune.

• Collaborate with 3rd party suppliers for escalation and issue resolution.

• Work closely with global support teams to manage incidents and ensure service continuity.

• Create and maintain technical documentation.

• Monitor infrastructure proactively to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.

• Provide support for backups and restores using Avamar and Veeam solutions.

• Act as an escalation point for the service desk, helping resolve complex technical issues.

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.

  Requirements

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in 3rd line support, systems administration, or infrastructure roles, preferably in a managed service provider or a large organization.

• Fluent business Spanish is essential.

• Strong experience with Windows Server (2008 R2 and later) and Windows 10/11 installation, configuration, and management.

• Proficiency in Active Directory administration, including Domains, FSMO roles, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy management.

• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Hyper-V.

• Working knowledge of Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop and Citrix NetScaler.

• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.

• Basic PowerShell scripting skills for automation and configuration management.

• Experience with policy creation and deployment via InTune.

• Solid understanding of server, storage, and networking concepts, including RAID, fibre channel, ethernet, and Wi-Fi.

• Experience working with file services such as NAS and DFS.

• Willingness to travel within the Americas for projects and out-of-hours support as needed.

• Basic experience with SQL Server configuration and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with remote support technologies such as Bomgar and RDP.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and client-facing skills.

• Ability to work independently with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

• Understanding of ITIL processes with the desire to follow and improve procedures.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with global infrastructure management.

• Proven ability to manage incidents and projects with meticulous attention to detail.

• A self-starter who consistently looks for ways to improve processes and service quality.
