SUMMARY Perform NDT inspections in compliance with customer work instructions, and AAR procedures and policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Record all inspection functions on applicable paperwork in accordance with the customer policies and procedures. Responsible for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of Aircraft and Components. Have the skills and knowledge to set-up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results. Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method. Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard. Be capable of providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees as used by the employer. When specified in the written practice, be capable of developing work instructions from approved general procedures; such work instructions shall require final approval by a level 3 certified in the method. Have the basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology. When specified in the written practice, have a basic knowledge of aircraft or vehicle maintenance. All other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements for the Job: Level I certification for one or more applicable NDT disciplines. Ability to correctly use one or more types of applicable NDT equipment. 1-2 years experience in aircraft NDT. Familiar with aircraft manufacturers technical documentation. Ability to read and interpret ADs, S/Bs, SRMs, industry NDT specifications and other work instructions. Familiar with regulatory requirements of FAR 145 repair station.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Previous experience in warehousing, handling inventory, and bar code equipment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
