Samsung SDS America Logistics Billing Supervisor (EM6812) in Miami, Florida

The Logistics Billing Supervisor in the Logistics Business Operation will oversee the efficient handling of the financial activities by other junior staff while providing support to the team manager. At the same time, the supervisor is in charge of aiding the manager in the billing system administration, vendor payment, customer service, and financial activities including payments, reporting, and reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

  • Process customer billing accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and requirements.

  • Manage and analyze billing adjustments, preparing correction forms within the access database.

  • Assist in completing essential freight documentation supporting invoiced charges and required for payment.

  • Support the Billing Manager by supervising the billing staff and overseeing daily operations.

  • Utilize internal technologies essential for efficient billing operations.

  • Investigate and resolve potential billing errors, including duplicate carrier billing issues.

  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.

  • Monitor billing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.

  • Develop and enforce billing procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

  • Train and mentor billing staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies.

  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis to provide insights into billing operations.

  • Execute other job-related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • 6+ years of experience in accounting/finance/business or any other business experience or related experience in the logistics and transportation industry required.

  • Work experience as a supervisor or a manager preferred.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel (v-lookups and pivot tables).

  • Possess great organizational skills, is a team player, responsible, self-aware, and approachable.

  • Excellent Customer service skills.

  • Clear and concise communication skills, capable of creating and maintaining a professional relationship with customers, carriers, and team members.

  • Ability to prioritize, be accountable for their actions, have a sense of urgency, and know when to escalate for assistance.

  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to abrupt changes

  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships with customers and carriers

  • Ability to work overtime when needed
