DoorDash Market Growth Lead - Florida in Miami, Florida

About the Team

DoorDash is looking for an analytical and entrepreneurial operator to join our team as a Senior Associate on our Strategy & Operations team, as part of the U.S. Markets team. Our mission is to grow local business within DoorDash, building best-in-class experiences for both our customers and our merchants alike. You will dive into data to explain market performance at the lowest level of detail, create high-impact strategies, and work alongside internal and external stakeholders to develop our brand and grow our business.

About the Role

We are looking for a Market Growth Lead to join our US Local Markets team out of Miami or Orlando. You will report to the Florida region General Manager within our Strategy & Operations organization.

As a part of the broader U.S. Markets team, you will play a key part in unlocking the next phase of growth for our local merchants. In a typical day, you may complete a variety of tasks such as conceiving and completing experiments to grow our market share, diving into data to explain performance at the lowest level of detail, building reports, models, and tools that allow teams to grow their work, and working side-by-side with partners such as Merchant, Dasher, DashPass, New Verticals, Marketing and other local teams to help shape our future growth.

  • Structure ambiguous problems, identifying opportunities and taking action to solve them. You will use qualitative and quantitative methods, analyzing data sets and leveraging your local industry knowledge, to synthesize complex information into clear takeaways and opportunities

  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams to implement opportunities that solve critical business problems. You will build strong relationships and mobilize teams across the business – from Sales to Marketing to Product to Analytics

  • Lead growth strategies and initiatives for Merchants, building relationships with key decision makers along the way

  • Implement full-funnel marketing strategies to acquire new customers and generate engagement

  • Leverage your intellectual curiosity and drive to know the industry inside-out, identifying out-of-the box opportunities to accelerate growth

  • Build for the long-term. You are a strategic thinker who is able to see the big picture, is comfortable with ambiguity, sets key business goals and milestones – and works relentlessly to realize the vision

  • Communicate effectively with all audiences, (e.g., cross functional teams, senior leaders, merchants) written and verbally

  • Drive impact and own your workstream end-to-end with the capability of working independently while also collaborating with others

  • 2 years of work experience driving results in high-performance cultures

  • Relevant experience in banking, consulting or hospitality industries and/or business strategy, marketing strategy, sales, or related roles

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Ability to work independently in the context of the broader team and vision

  • Comfort working under ambiguity, using quantitative and qualitative thinking to break down and solve problems

  • Analytical experience, analyzing complex data sets to answer business-critical problems

  • Ability to communicate effectively to different audiences, verbally and in writing

  • Capability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams

  • Experience with SQL

  • Ability to influence without authority

  • Local restaurant and 3PD industry knowledge

  • Strong community ties; and/or has the ability to make inroads with community leaders, brand ambassador

  • Language: Spanish
