Ansible Government Solutions Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN) in Miami, Florida

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Psychiatric Registered Nurses to support the Miami VA Healthcare System located at 1201 NW 16th St, Miami, Florida 33125. Nurses may also be asked to provide services at Community Based Outpatient Centers (CBOC). Multiple shift schedules are available. Responsibilities

The Psychiatric Registered Nurse services shall be provided in accordance with the policies of the VA healthcare system where assigned. Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver direct patient care; assess patients physical, psychosocial and/or emotional needs (including addressing issues related to age, developmental stage and cultural needs)

  • Administer medications as assigned. Serve as a resource for veterans to enhance their knowledge of medication uses, side effects and dosage; RN will verify medication order and document medications according to policy

  • Utilize appropriate resources and tools to document, track, and assure follow through on patients with high risk needs or care management coordination

  • Identified urgent or emergent patient care situations, seeks assistant, and intervenes as directed when appropriate

  • Educate the patient, the family or caregiver, and members of the health care delivery team about treatment options (including but not limited to CVT, HT, evidence based protocols), community resources, psychosocial concerns, and case management, so that timely and informed decisions can be made.

  • Encourage the appropriate use of health care services and strives to improve quality of care and maintain cost effectiveness on a case-by-case basis.

  • Advocate for both the patient and facility to facilitate positive outcomes for the patient, the health care team, and the facility.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse academic program (BSN or ADN)

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia

  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Three (3) years of recent Inpatient Psychiatric RN work experience is required

  • No sponsorship available

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift

  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist

  • Lift up to 20 lbs

  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance

  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
