NBC Universal Senior Financial Analyst in Miami, Florida

Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analysis for Telemundo is a key member of the Operations & Technology (O&T) Finance team, reporting to the Finance Director, Tech Ops. This role plays a crucial part in managing Tech Finance operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for operating expenses on both a gross and net basis. Key responsibilities include:

  • Consolidate and report actuals, quarterly estimates, strategic and operating plans (LRP and Budget), along with related variances.

  • Responsible for the close process, including preparing journal entries, client allocations, balance sheet reconciliations, and communicating risks and opportunities to the FP&A team and clients.

  • Perform standard and special analyses that provide insightful views into the operations and financial performance, serving as a point of contact for resolution of financial questions with our operating and FP&A partners.  

  • Consolidate and report Headcount performance across the Telemundo O&T organization.

  • Create ad-hoc financial reports and models to support evolving business needs.

  • Creating/Updating/Maintaining files to assist with budgeting & tracking of expenses

  • Present on-going results to finance leadership.

  • Perform variance, trend and KPI analysis across the O&T Portfolio.

  • Identify opportunities to build/enhance current models

  • Respond to ad hoc requests as necessary

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly operating review decks and supporting documents

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferable in finance/accounting

  • 2+ years of experience in Finance

  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite products – particularly advanced excel skills (comfortable with VLOOKUP's, if statements, pivot tables)       

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with SAP, BPC, and Essbase preferred

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment with minimal supervision

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to all levels of the organization

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Quick learner and team player

Additional Information:

  • Must be willing to work in Miami, FL

  • This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
