Job Description

As a Full Stack .NET Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining custom web applications using the .NET Framework. You'll work with a variety of technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, SQL Server, Azure services, Angular, Azure Cosmos DB, Datadog, Azure Service Bus, Azure Durable Functions, and Azure Service Fabric. Your responsibilities will span both front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless user experiences and robust functionality. Current Project: Migrating a mobile app from legacy platform to Azure S1/ .Net 1 platform.

Additional Responsibilities:

1 Custom Web Application Development:

o Design, develop, and test web applications using .NET, HTML, CSS, and other relevant technologies.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create software solutions that meet business requirements.

2 Software Architecture and Coding:

o Manage the architecture, design, and coding of software projects from concept to completion.

o Consult with end users to identify areas where technology can automate processes, enhance revenues, and reduce costs.

o Stay current with technical skills and industry trends.

3 Azure Integration: Utilize Azure services for cloud-based solutions:

o Azure App Service: Deploy web applications and APIs.

o Azure SQL Database: Store and manage data securely.

o Azure Functions: Implement serverless compute for specific tasks

o Azure Key Vault: Securely manage application secrets and certificates.

o Azure Monitor and Application Insights: Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues.

o Azure Cosmos DB: Implement a globally distributed NoSQL database for scalable and highly available data storage.

o Azure Service Bus:

Create and manage queues for reliable message queuing.

Implement publish-subscribe communication using topics and subscriptions.

Azure Durable Functions: Build stateful, reliable, and serverless workflows.

Azure Service Fabric: Develop microservices-based applications with high availability and scalability.

4 Front-End Development with Angular:

o Leverage Angular to build dynamic and responsive user interfaces (UIs).

o Implement features such as routing, data binding, and component-based architecture

o Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces

5 Application Logging and Monitoring with Datadog:

o Integrate Datadog for monitoring and alerting on key .NET runtime metrics:

o Exceptions, garbage collection statistics, thread count, and more.

o View metrics alongside distributed traces, logs, and other telemetry.

o Configure structured logging using the ILogger API to monitor application behavior and diagnose issues

Skills and Requirements

- 10+ years of .Net development experience, .Net Core experience

- Design, develop, and test web applications using .NET, HTML, CSS, and other relevant technologies.

- Experience with Angular development (Angular 8), looking for a full stack developer -- however, this specific project is focused on backend development

o  Leverage Angular to build dynamic and responsive user interfaces (UIs)

- Experience managing the architecture, design, and coding of software projects from concept to completion

- Strong experience with Azure Integration:

o Azure Functions: Implement serverless compute for specific tasks, Azure Key Vault: Securely manage application secrets and certificates.

o Azure Monitor and Application Insights: Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues, Azure Cosmos DB: Implement a globally distributed NoSQL database for scalable and highly available data storage

o Azure Service Bus, Azure Durable Functions: Build stateful, reliable, and serverless workflows.

- Application Logging and Monitoring with Datadog or similar tools

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, must be a go-getter, ability to jump in needing little support - Azure App Service: Deploy web applications and APIs, Azure SQL Database: Store and manage data securely

- Azure Service Fabric - Azure Service Fabric: Develop microservices-based applications with high availability and scalability.
