Our Florida Commissary is looking for a Staffing Coordinator to join their operations team in Miami, FL.

The primary responsibility of the Staffing Coordinator is to assemble hourly service and schedule staff within the business units in the region. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing staffing requirements, and ensuring efficient scheduling and communication with staff. The position requires availability during weekends and the ability to work overtime as needed.

Compensation is $25-$30 an hour.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiting & Hiring

· Provide support with hiring events at the beginning of the season.

· Identify and attend recruiting events at local universities and/or related business organizations.

Scheduling

· Accept and fill staff requisitions through CaterXpert on a daily basis.

· Confirm event staff via scheduling platform, telephone calls and emails.

· Directly fill Event Supervisors, Co Captains, Supervisors, and FOH staff on events as soon as events are booked.

· Identify priority dates 6 months out.

· Email the scheduled staff all necessary event information as it becomes available.

· Send event reminders daily.

· Assist with organizing transportation schedules.

· Maintain relationships with staffing company partners and provide information on staffing requirements as needed.

Operational

· Provide management support on major events, working as a supervisor or Captain when necessary.

· Attend at least 2 events per week to check staff in; enforce progressive discipline for staff not in proper uniform or not reporting on time.

· Attend weekly BEO meetings.

· Collaborate with the event managers to staff events accordingly.

· Print and generate all event binders, which include BEO, Rental List, Pack List, Staffing Sheet, Venue SOP, Incident Report Forms, and Floor Plan.

· Work on flexing the staff schedule to meet the budgeted event staff percentage.

· Manage special events on the unit level, including concession events, major client events, and pop-up restaurant events.

· Create and manage a facility maintenance schedule to ensure personnel are scheduled to clean and upkeep facilities.

· Attend client meetings as needed.

· Perform various administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

· Availability to work weekends as required.

· Preferred experience in the catering industry.

· Proficiency in fine dining service standards.

· Strong problem-solving skills.

· Proactive and results-oriented approach.

· Excellent teamwork abilities.

· Superior communication skills.

· Ability to effectively engage and connect with staff.
