SUMMARY:

Perform all duties related to safely producing quality stripping/washing of aircraft and Ground Power Unit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Notify designated personnel of any irregularities in materials, process, equipment or environmental or safety infractions. -Perform each phase of the operation in compliance with all company, state, and/or federal safety and environmental regulations as directed by management. -Perform and assume responsibility for his/her work and service to assure it meets the internal and external customer requirements and expectations. -Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned area(s) and observe company policies at all times. -Properly maintains painting spray booth as directed by company policy. -Properly controls, stores in approved containers and replenishes all paint supplies. -Properly restores aircraft parts finishes by preparing metal surfaces and painting parts. -Consistently assures that hazardous materials are disposed of in the approved method. -Follows standards of behavior and appearance for all staff members. -Asks questions as necessary to increase knowledge or skill. -Records her/his time worked as directed by her/his supervisor. -Maintains her/his work area in an orderly and clean manner. -Complies with all safety procedures at all times, without exception. -Complies with all AAR Aircraft Services - Miami policies and procedures which apply to her/him. -Keeps her/himself informed of such policies and procedures and asks her/his supervisor for explanations of anything which s/he does not fully understand. -Takes those prudent actions appropriate to the preservation of Company and/or customer assets, whether in monetary or other form. -Attends work-related training as scheduled. -Performs such other tasks as may be reasonably assigned by her/his supervisor. -Must be willing to work flexible hours to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: -High school education or G.E.D. preferred. -One year experience in applying enamel and polyurethane finishes required. -Able to communicate effectively verbally in writing in standard English. -Able to comprehend and follow instructions. -Able to interface in a professional and pleasant manner with other AAR Aircraft Services -Miami employees at all levels and with customers as required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. -Exposure to high levels of noise, dust, vibration and chemical fumes. -Able to lift fifty (50) pounds without mechanical assistance. -Able to bend, twist, squat and lift. -Able to access and work in all areas of the aircraft to be worked on, including confined areas. -Able to climb on ladders and platforms and work at heights up to fifty feet from the ground. -Able to work in extreme climatic conditions.
