Position Summary:

Member of the Corporate Banking team for First Bank Florida covering a wide range of financial services and products to corporations with financing needs typically over $10 million. In addition to traditional banking products, services provided under the line of business include complex financing transactions for mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, loan syndications, and specialized industry lending. Responsible for managing the business relationships with current and potential clients. Ability to be a team player, and collaborate internally with colleagues, management and committee. Strive to achieve an outstanding level of customer service in accordance with Bank’s standards and competencies.

Essential Functions:

Provide a broad suite of services and financing arrangements to large and middle market corporations with financing needs typically $10 million or above. Expertise with complex financing transactions for mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, loan syndications, and specialized industry lending (including non-leveraged and/or leveraged loans).

Responsible for marketing, sales and developing business relationships with current and potential clients. Should be comfortable meeting with top management of client companies, Agent banks, and bank committee members.

Responsible to source, review and present for approval new transactions and annual reviews (via Credit Approval Memorandums) for all business relationships under management to the Credit Committee or other appropriate lending authority level.

Working with credit analysts to underwrite and analyze loans by evaluating and reviewing loan information, including but not limited to financial projections, risk mitigation, financial statements, financial models, lender presentations/decks, public filings, datarooms, diligence reports, appraisal reports, and other related loan information and supporting documentation.

Ability to present to credit committee in a credible manner, anticipate potential questions in advance, and respond to related requests accurately and efficiently.

Work with the Corporate Banking Head in the development and implementation of the strategies of corporate banking activities, including providing support on the structuring of complex financing transactions and loan syndications.

Maintain a sound operating environment including the establishment of a balanced risk management approach and adherence to applicable policies and regulatory requirements.

Provide leadership to ensure that staff has the required competencies to assess the value of businesses, structure financing proposals and market the Bank’s products and services.

Monitor the implementation and achievement of tactical initiatives and adherence to financial plan (budget), including P&L responsibility.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a bank environment. Employees are exposed to external elements when representing the corporation at external events and may be required to work extended hours, including holidays, should these coincide with company events.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business Administration or related field.

Masters degree preferred.

5-10 years’ experience in a similar job or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
