Cashier for Auxiliary Operations

\ \ Description\ Assist auxiliary food operations at the Tavern on the Tee and Snow Bowl by providing exceptional customer service and processing customer sales through our POS systems.\ \ This is a full time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of \$18.19 - \$22.28 per hour.\ \ Core Responsibilities:\

  • Accurately process food and beverage sales using cash registers, scanners, or wireless equipment.\
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout our campus locations\
  • Work closely with student cashiers throughout the academic year. This will require training others on our POS machines and enforcing all cashier policies and procedures\
  • Assists in food production work including food prep and grab and go production. This will require proper use of kitchen equipment.\
  • Ensure the highest standards in sanitary FOH procedures, condiment, coffee stations, tables, floors and trash storage are clean and always maintained.\
  • Always Cleaning work areas, including counters, floors, dishes, and related equipment and ensures they are in proper sanitary condition.\ Observe proper food storage and handling procedures to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.\
  • Ensure that food and beverages are properly and safely served. Some locations will require Serve safe certification and a VT DLC license

  • High school diploma or GED required\
  • Knowledge of point of sale and cash handling helpful\
  • No previous experience necessary, although cash handling training helpful\
  • Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors with effective time management skills\
  • Have good communication skills; and the ability to follow instructions and procedures and participate in a team environment.

\ Physical Demands and Working Conditions\ Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously, as well as frequent bending and overhead reaching with twisting motions. Must be able to lift 10-20# numerous times during the day and up to 50lbs several times each day, must be able to push and pull up to 70lbs frequently.
