Touro University Part Time Faculty in Middletown, New York

Overview

The Part-time III faculty member will be working in close association with the Academic and Clinical Faculty. The faculty member will work 8 hours per week and weekly on-site presence is required unless otherwise specified and approved.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching: Instruct first year second and culminating year students in the following:

  • Physical Diagnosis Lab Instructor

  • Clinical Correlations /Clinical Skills Instructor

  • Instructor- Procedures

  • Lecturing in area of expertise and other designated courses

  • Clinical Year Student document reviewer (SOAP Notes, etc.) (All semesters)

  • Advisement - first year second and culminating year students (All semesters)

  • Master’s capstone advisor -reviewing and grading master’s capstone

  • Admissions:

  • Review prospective applicants

  • Participate in the admissions process

  • Interview prospective applicantsCurriculum:

  • Review and revise exams in area of instruction

Qualifications

Education/ Experience

  • NCCPA Board Certified

  • Valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant

  • A Master’s degree/Master’s eligible is required

  • A Bachelor of Science from an accredited Physician Assistant Program

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

  • Requires ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with frequent high levels of urgency or sensitivity

  • Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues in a team environment.

Maximum Salary

USD $25,000.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $20,000.00/Yr.
