Physical Therapist (Acute Care)
Atrium Medical Center
Status: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Position Overview:
As a Physical Therapist at Atrium Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and treating patients with orthopedic, neurological, and work-related impairments. This position involves providing one-on-one or group physical therapy treatments, monitoring patient progress, and reporting findings.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans.
Deliver direct physical therapy care, either individually or in groups.
Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
Provide education and guidance to patients and their families.
Maintain access to the Medication Room as part of the treatment process.
Complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
Participate in staff and cost management activities, contributing to departmental effectiveness.
Uphold professional practice standards, maintain licensure/certification, and meet continuing education requirements.
Demonstrate exceptional customer service in all interactions.
Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited PT program.
Licensure: Current Physical Therapy license in the State of Ohio. Maintains CEUs for licensure renewal.
Certification: Current BLS certification.
Experience: May be a recent graduate with a generalist background; however, a minimum of one year of experience is preferred.
Skills/Other: Demonstrates knowledge and skill in providing age-specific care. Possesses team-focused attributes. Ability to work scheduled hours as assigned.
