ALS PFAS Business Development Manager in Middletown, Pennsylvania

About the role:

The PFAS Business Development Manager will be responsible for:

  • Developing new and fostering sales activities relating to PFAS.

  • Managing and measuring revenue from PFAS throughout the network

  • Visit to clients submitting samples for PFAS to laboratories.

  • Oversight of the national PFAS market including but not limited to DoD, UCMR5, Airports, Landfills, Superfund sites, consultants, industry direct and Water (DW and WWTP).

  • Create and execute sales plan for PFAS.

  • Develop a national strategy with engagement from all LD’s and TSR’s on national programs, meetings and conferences.

  • Document all activities, quotes and gathered information in the CRM, in a timely and comprehensive manner. Report on this monthly.

  • Assist with the preparation of tenders, quotes, technical bulletins and marketing literature.

  • Actively maintain industry and market competitor knowledge.

  • Develop a pricing strategy for PFAS to ensure ALS can grow and participate in the market and maximize pricing.

  • Assist in the coordination of pricing.

  • Develop and prospect clients.

  • Deliver presentations/seminars for clients.

  • Represent ALS Environmental at required trade shows and conferences.

  • Participate in client appreciation, industry and promotional events.

  • Meet required reporting due dates, deadlines, and operate in an organized manner and be available to work outside normal business hours as needed.

  • Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Support Quality Department and Continuous Improvement Processes.

  • Employees commit to improving the ALS experience through effective communication.

  • Follow all company operating procedures, standards, policies, and training to ensure the safe and efficient operation on and off-site.

  • Play an active role in the ALS safety program by correcting or reporting unsafe acts and conditions that are observed during day to day operations to create a zero-injury work environment.

  • Participate in and support HSE initiatives, as required by ALS leadership.

  • Perform contract or "scope of work" review for applicable work to be undertaken on a client site to understand client expectations and communicate any risks outside the normal risk profile to management immediately.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of business development experience is preferred, including experience and understanding of the PFAS market in the USA.

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred

  • Able to speak and hear clearly while communicating with staff, management, and clients.

  • Able to sit, and/or stand for 100% of an 8 hour day;

  • Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate computer and other equipment.

  • Must have average vision and able to see to read reports and operate equipment.
