Under the supervision of the Police Department, conducts children safely across streets at assigned crossings and performs related work as required. Hours are generally 1.5 hours per day or on-call as needed.

EXAMPLES OF WORK: To walk to the center of the street, clearing pedestrian lane of all traffic, signaling the Safety Patrol person to start children across, and any other related work as required.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Must have own transportation, reliability, friendliness, patience, tact, good judgment, like and understand working with children, and must have satisfactory eyesight and hearing.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.87 - $20.97 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
