About You and This Role:

You will oversee the end-to-end solution strategy, design and delivery for projects related to a specific business process within the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability function (EHS&S). You will deliver integrated, workable solutions that meet business and functional stakeholder requirements and align with the functional strategy, address or advance capabilities, needs and/or issues. You will provide governance of solution delivered and ownership of the end-to-end process and solution, measures effectiveness and compliance, and approves deviations or exceptions. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

In this role, you will require specialized, in-depth knowledge and advanced expertise in your discipline or functional area. You will need to analyze and identify internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services. You should be able to communicate difficult concepts to others and persuade others to adopt a different point of view.

It is your responsibility to be able to use sophisticated analytical thought and judgement to identify innovative solutions. You will need to be able to lead others to solve complex problems and potentially lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Your performance impacts business direction through the development of new products or services.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the delivery and adoption of a Next Generation Environment Management Solution for Dow

  • Partners with the leadership in the EHS&S function to define and maintain digital strategies and roadmaps

  • Delivers detailed specification, strategy, design, development and testing of process improvements or changes and/or functionality within respective business process

  • Builds and sustains business and functional stakeholder relationships, serving as the primary liaison to stakeholders aligned with respective business process

  • Conducts requirements analyses, engage stakeholders in project lifecycle activities and coordinate appropriate sign-offs

  • Leads stakeholders on activities, such as user and task analysis, to seek innovative improvement and efficiency opportunities in line with the overall strategy

  • Defines requirements and use cases and collaborates with Shared Development team members to translate into configuration

  • Participates in system development and build activities

  • Creates test sets and/or scripts and participate oversee the in testing activities as they align with the testing strategy

  • Participates in cross-functional business case development, providing input into benefits and strategic alignment of Diamond System Solutions (DSS) opportunities utilizing business process knowledge and business / functional understanding

  • Identifies, troubleshoots and resolves issues to manage risk and ensure on time solution delivery

  • Identifies opportunities of new DSS systems and applications that have potential process improvements and/or efficiencies and co-develop a business case for the opportunity

  • Deliver up-to-date training, design and documentation, process documentation and definitions for respective business process

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of Bachelors Degree.

  • A minimum of seven years of experience.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Prefer Skills:

  • Prefer Bachelor's degree in the following discipline environmental engineering, environmental science, sustainability, and information systems.

  • Prior experience in leading others to solve complex or unique problems is preferred.

  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations,

  • May lead functional teams or projects

  • Knowledge of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions or operational experience with environmental reporting within sites for a chemical company are recommended

  • ADKAR Change Management Certification is preferred.

  • Prior Project or Program management experience with projects utilizing Waterfall or Agile solution delivery methodologies is preferred.

Additional Notes:

  • This position does not offer relocation assistance.

  • This position may travel up to 10-15% of the time.
